    The Stephen Walker Cup

The Stephen Walker Cup is awarded annually each year to a parish resident who gives his/hers time throughout the past year in support of the betterment of our community.
Each year the West Winch & Setchey Parish Council seeks nominations from residents of the parish for this award. The Parish Council then chooses from the nominations received the person whom they feel is the most deserving person to receive this prestigious award.

The person chosen for the 2020 award of the Stephen Walker Cup is Gary Shipp. Gary has and continues to demonstrate a selfless commitment to serve his community. Gary is secretary of the Junior Football Club and also is secretary of the William Burt Social Club. Both of these positions are known to be time consuming and demanding tasks which Gary voluntary undertakes. In addition, Gary finds the time to captain and coach the under 8 year football team. Gary’s commitment and dedication to serve this community is beyond reproach. He is the worthy winner for 2020 award of the Stephen Walker Cup.

The Cup will be presented to Gary by the Chairman of West Winch & Setchey Parish Council, Terry Gibson on behalf of this community when current circumstances permit.
